About COTS

COTS is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization located in Petaluma, California, about 40 miles north of San Francisco. COTS offers help and hope to homeless persons in Sonoma County by providing safe shelter and housing, helping people develop steady incomes and helping them get back under a roof of their own. We also help homeless families become stable and break the cycle of homelessness by teaching homeless parents to make their children's needs a high priority and to provide a safe, loving and secure home for their children. First, let me offer you some free videos about our work at COTS. They are brief and will give you a great update on some of the wonderful things that are happening here.

In the past year we provided emergency shelter and housing to about 1,000 children and adults in Petaluma and Rohnert Park. This very night we have almost enough beds for 300 children and adults. In the past year we’ve provided 100,000 meals to people who wouldn’t have had that food otherwise. 500,000 pounds of food, in addition to the meals, have been delivered within the community to needy families and seniors.

As proud as I am of all of our accomplishments, of the lives that we’ve saved and the lives we have transformed, I never forget the people we have to turn away, the people we can’t help, because we just don’t have the resources.

COTS is doing a fabulous job helping the most needy people in our community, and we greatly appreciate your participation.
